How does telemedicine work?
(Hint: it's so easy!)
If you feel comfortable using a computer or smart phone, then scheduling and meeting for a telehealth appointment will be as easy as online shopping!

Though a visit for a physical exam at the gynecologist is often important and necessary in some situations, we recognize some women may feel more comfortable with a discussion first. That can easily be done via telemedicine at a convenient time for you in the privacy of your home.
Wait, as a doctor,
don't I have to do an exam?
Yes, sometimes. The physical exam is a crucial part of diagnosis in the medical field. I always want you to keep up with your routine screening tests and exams that need an "in-person" doctor.
But some medical questions or concerns can be addressed without one. In my women's health telemedicine practice, there is so much we can talk about. The (many!) questions I ask are part of learning your history that allows me to address your specific concerns- while throwing in lots of great education along the way.

Most of these involve cycle awareness, control, and regulation, fertility, sexual health, and bleeding concerns.

As always, any routine gynecologic issues can be addressed as well, including medication refills.

Below are a few of the most common discussions I have with women spanning the reproductive lifecycle:
This sounds like exactly what I need!
What do I do next?
1. Book your consultation
Through any booking button on this website, you will be taken to the Charm Health Portal.
There you will be able to see what appointment dates and times are available so you can schedule at your convenience.

Dr. Hellman can see you if you live in the following states: NY, NJ, IL, CA, FL, and WI. You can also schedule make an appointment if you live in Israel as well!
2. Make your payment
Make your secure payment safely at the time of booking. You will receive emails that confirm both confirmation of payment and appointment time.

We do not accept insurance.
3. Tell me about you
If you are a new patient, you will receive an email invitation to our secure ChARM Patient Portal where you will get a link to fill out an intake form. This is important for Dr. Hellman as it allows her to review your history and symptoms prior to the appointment to maximize time for education and discussion. New patients will need to create a log in account.

Existing patients can skip this step and wait for their appointment time to arrive, or update your history as needed with the account you previously created.
It is recommended that you check your device video and audio settings to ensure they are working properly, prior to the appointment time.
4. See the doctor
Lastly, you will receive an email from Dr. Hellman with a link to the secure, HIPAA compliant waiting room at https://doxy.me/drehellman

Check in with your name to let the doctor know you are there. "Allow" the site to use your camera and microphone. Please make sure you organize your questions and concerns.

Wait for the doctor to start the video visit!
